Song Development

The band So Cal Collective brought me a song idea for their passion project. I co-wrote the song ‘Don’t Give Up’ and produced and mixed the track with some help from Tom Scott, Adam Castillo and members of Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, BBMAK and the John Mayer Band.

Produce My EP

We have been working with the artist Gary Lindblad for several years now and have produced 3 collections of songs for him, A Story Tonight and Time to Listen Now and the latest, Sunshine Streaming In.

Building Community

I have been working here in LA for over 30 years and during that time I have become part of a great community of creatives.

I had this idea for many years of blending the sounds and influences of these singers and musicians into a melting pot of an album. The result was:

You Got Wings

And we called ourselves:

Rhythm Gospel & Blues.

I wrote all the songs & produced and mixed this album (with some help from Hank Linderman & David Raven.)

The music is a blend of Gospel, Rhythm & Blues and Roots Gospel and features some of the best singers in Los Angeles. Alfie Silas, Linda McCrary Fisher, Sam Sparro, Pattie Howard, Sandra Stephens, to name a few.

Collaboration

One of the reasons why I have been so prolific as a songwriter is that I collaborate with so many other songwriters & producers.

Sometimes I am the lyricist, others times I come up with the melody. Most often however, people send me a lyric idea and we develop that into a song and then a track.

With Zorin Morris, we have written and produced close to 50 songs together. Some of them are currently enjoying 100,000 streams or more on Spotify.

The more commercial songs are charting on radio in South America & Europe

Feature Film

I wrote the song ‘You’re Not The One’,

for the break up scene in ‘Win a Date with Tad Hamilton’.

This opened the door for me to write more than 40 songs that were featured in US Network Television shows like, CSI, Without a Trace, NCIS, Las Vegas, Castle, Ted, Brothers and Sisters, Men in Trees, One Tree Hill, Jake 2.0, Cold Case, Cover Me, October Road and more.
